Linda McCoy is our President and operating owner who currently is still taking loan applications daily. She loves helping people and is so happy to get just one more family the home of their dreams. She opened Mortgage Team 1, Inc, on August 5, 2002. Prior to opening Mortgage Team 1, Inc., Linda managed Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corp from 1999 to 2003 and originated mortgage from 1995 to 1999 with Norwest Mortgage/Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Originally her career began with Citizens Industrial Bank in 1993. Prior to originating mortgages, Linda was an Interior Designer, who along with her husband, Tiffany McCoy owned and operated Tiffany’s Interiors for 14 years.

She is President of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) for 2021-2022. She has held all the many Board of Director positions with NAMB since 2011. In the past few years, Linda was Chair of NAMB’s Certification Committee and helped create the Certified Veterans Lending Specialist (CVLS) and the Certified Credit Specialist (CCS) Certification Classes for all Loan Officers in the US. She is a Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist (CRMS), Certified Veterans Lending Specialist (CVLS) and the Certified Credit Specialist (CCS), and Alabama Residential Mortgage Lender (ARML). She is an instructor for the NMLS (National Mortgage Licensure System) Classes in Alabama. Linda was on the Alabama Mortgage Brokers Association’s Board of Directors for over 10 years and was President of AMBA in 2010. Additionally, Linda holds an Alabama Home Builders License.

Linda graduated from Delta State University with a bachelor's degree in Social Science. She also attended Mississippi State University studying Accounting, Mississippi University for Women majoring in Interior Design and Mississippi Delta Jr College.

Linda enjoys reading, gardening, traveling to see friends, being with her 4 grandkids, playing games, and spending time with her husband of 50 years, Tiffany McCoy.
